Chilli Con Carne


Makes 8 portions.

  1. Fry the onion over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the peppers, garlic, and spices. Fry for another 5 minutes.
  3. Brown the mince.
  4. Add the beef stock, tomatoes, tomato puree, and sugar. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Add the kidney beans and chickpeas and simmer for another 10 minutes.
  6. Leave to stand for 10 minutes before serving.
